Easter on The Green – April 7th – 9th

Hop on over to The Village Green’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 9th at 1pm. This free community event will take place on the Gazebo and Playground Lawn for children 11 years and younger. The Literacy Council of Cashiers will be there to hand out books, along with the Easter Bunny!

The Village Green Market – Every Wednesday beginning of April 19th through October 25th

Every Wednesday beginning of April 19th through October 25th from 2-5pm.

Fill your basket with naturally raised meat and dairy items, fresh eggs, jams, pickles, freshly baked bread and delicious granola.  Set your table with fresh-cut flowers that morning or plant your entryway with locally grown perennials.  Always fresh.  Always local.

Groovin’ on The Green

Groovin’ on The Green is a FREE community event featuring singer/songwriters and bands of all genres! Each Groovin’ concert is held at 6:30 pm and located at 160 Frank Allen Road and happens RAIN OR SHINE.

Groovin’ is FREE to the public for general admission. No registration or tickets required. However, The Village Green does have 10×10 pop-up tents to rent for your group!

Fireworks Extravaganza on The Green – July 1st, 2023

Come one, come all! The ninth annual ‘Fireworks Extravaganza on The Green’ will take place on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at 6:30pm, RAIN OR SHINE, on The Village Green Commons Lawn! This is a FREE community event, open to the public! No registration necessary!

Entertainment will be provided by the Cashiers Community Chorus and rhythm and blues band Continental Divide followed by a fireworks show at dark. Admission is free, however, donations will be collected to help with the cost of the event. Food and beverage will be available from Elevated Kitchen Food Truck, Crossroads Custard, and Innovation Brewing!

Cashiers Valley Leaf Festival – October 6-8, 2023

This fall festival celebrates the leaves beginning to change in the beautiful mountain village of Cashiers. This popular and free event welcomes 100 artisans and merchants to the park. Visitors will find unique handcrafted wood, pottery, jewelry and much more on display and for purchase throughout the weekend. Food, drink, and live music add to the festive spirit of this event. The Cashiers Valley Leaf Festival will be held Friday through Sunday, October 6 – 8, 2023.

Halloween Block Party on Frank Allen – October 28th, 2023

A frightfully fun family-friendly Halloween event! The Village Green, Albert Carlton Cashiers Library, JC Parks and Recreation Center, and the Boys and Girls Club of the Plateau are collaborating to host the first annual Halloween Block Party along Frank Allen Road! Enjoy a variety of Halloween festivities including trunk-or-treat, fun and games, lots of candy, and more!

Gobble on The Green – November 23rd, 2023

Turkey, cornbread dressing, pumpkin pie, football, and family time … there are so many reasons to love Thanksgiving! Did we mention pie? Each family has its own activities and traditions to look forward to. The Village Green offers a 5K Run/Walk turkey-trot, Gobble On the Green.

Christmas on The Green – Cashiers Christmas Tree Lighting, Visit with Santa, & Mistletoe Market – November 24th, 2023

Visitors to The Village Green enjoy twinkling light displays and festive decorations from Thanksgiving Weekend until February. The park becomes a winter wonderland to make your spirits merry and bright! To add to the festivities, enjoy an artisan gift market, and a visit with Santa!

Cashiers Greenway Ramble Storywalk

The StoryWalk™ was made possible through a collaboration between Vision Cashiers, The Village Green, The Albert Carlton-Cashiers Library, and The Literary Council of Cashiers. A StoryWalk™ provides an outdoor adventure that champions reading along with family connection, health, and wellness.

The StoryWalk™ is part of the Cashiers Greenway Ramble. Cashiers Greenway Ramble is an extensive network of trails, sidewalks, and pedestrian-friendly roads connecting Cashiers’ in-town parks, commercial districts, and community buildings. A major section of the Ramble known as the Salamander Loop is located in The Village Green. Conveniently park once and walk!  To learn more visit the Ramble website. Village Nature Series

The Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust and The Village Green sponsor a series of lectures each summer. Visitors and residents learn about wildlife in the area and the various features of their natural habitats. Previous subjects include raptors, black bears, and reptiles. The Village Nature Series will begin at 5:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday of the month from April through September at The Village Green Commons on Frank Allen Road.
