DESCRIPTION:The Village Nature Series is an annual educational lecture series co-hosted by The Village Green and the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust. These programs are free and family-friendly. Each Village Nature Series will begin at 5pm on the last Tuesday of each month from April-September. The series will be held at The Village Green in Cashiers located on Frank Allen Road\, with the exception of July 25th (held at the Albert Carlton Cashiers Library). DESCRIPTION:8703067 – bees collecting nectar from flower \nMountain Man Cave Honey\, Jackson County Beekeepers\, and The Village Green will be co-sponsoring a free event for the public to celebrate World Bee Day on Saturday\, May 22nd.  This event will be held under the Gazebo at the Cashiers Village Green from 11am-3pm. \nTying along with The Village Green’s mission of preserving and enhancing land for our community\, this year’s theme is “Bee Engaged”! The event will feature hive demonstrations\, various activities and games for all ages\, light refreshments and LIVE MUSIC featuring Asheville Singer/Songwriter Oliver Padgett from 1pm-2:30pm. Children activities include many arts and craft and education exhibits. \nDuring this event\, COVID-19 guidelines of physical distancing and mask wearing are required. Anyone experiencing illness of any kind should stay home.
