A big-voiced crooner with a heart of gold\, Kevin strikes a chord with “his raw and soulful\, Chris Stapleton-esque timbre.” \nGroovin’ on The Green is held rain or shine from 6-8:30pm on the Common’s Lawn. Join us at The Village Green Commons for an evening of music\, family fun\, and of course\, fireworks! This is a FREE community event\, open to the public\, and no registration is required! \nThe annual “Fireworks Extravaganza on The Green” will take place on WEDNESDAY JULY 3RD\, starting at 6:00pm\, RAIN or SHINE\, on The Village Green Commons Lawn! Entertainment will be provided by the Cashiers Community Chorus\, Caribbean Cowboys Band\, and the Cashiers School of the Arts followed by extraordinary fireworks show at dark featuring thousands of colorful bursts! \nThe event will feature amazing live music\, an interactive line dance tutorial and conga line\, local food and beverage vendors\, dancing\, and of course\, fireworks!! \nAdmission is free; however\, donations will be collected to help with the cost of the event. Many small communities have eliminated fireworks from their celebrations due to the cost associated with large pyrotechnic displays\, but The Village Green believes it is important to preserve this patriotic tradition for the Cashiers community. The Village Green is a 501c3 nonprofit park system and does not receive any funds from Jackson County\, the state of NC\, or the Federal Park System. \nAttendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs\, and picnics and coolers with their own food and beverages. Elevated Kitchen Food Truck\, Crossroads Custard\, and Innovation Brewing will be at the event serving delicious food and beverages!
