SUMMARY:13th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
DESCRIPTION:The Village Green is hosting the 13th annual community Easter Egg Hunt for children 11 years and younger starting at 1pm on Sunday\, April 9th. Along with the Easter Egg Hunt\, The Literacy Council of Cashiers and The Albert Carlton Library will be working with the Easter Bunny to hand out books! \nFor the Easter Egg Hunt\, children will be divided by age into three separate areas of the park near the Gazebo and Village Green Playground at our Highway 64 entrance. \nPlease bring your own baskets! The Easter Bunny will be making a visit for photos and handing out books\, so please plan to bring a camera. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Easter weekend!

The market is “producer-only” meaning that the vendor must be the grower or producer of ALL the products they sell. Vendors must produce within a 125-mile radius of Cashiers. That means that the season for each fruit and vegetable is longer. Shopping at Locally Grown on Green Market provides a forum for learning how food is grown\, who grew it\, and why it tastes so good. \nFill your basket with naturally raised meat and dairy items\, fresh eggs\, jams\, pickles\, freshly baked bread and delicious granola.  Set your table with fresh cut flowers or plant your entryway with locally grown perennials.  Always fresh.  Always local. \nThe market is located at 160 Frank Allen Road\, next to the Cashiers Post Office.

DESCRIPTION:The Village Nature Series is an annual educational lecture series co-hosted by The Village Green and the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust. These programs are free and family-friendly. Each Village Nature Series will begin at 5pm on the last Tuesday of each month from April-September.
