The 2008 Exhibition ran from June 14, 2008 - November 14, 2008.
Sponsored by The Village Green, the Sculpture on the Green Bi-Annual Invitational Exhibition presented ten works by ten national sculptors in the park starting in June. Celebrating the variety of modes of expression of sculpture in the 21st century, the park acknowledged the evolution of sculpture and represented varied styles and mediums including figurative, abstract, and non-representational.
Situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Cashiers is a prime resort destination for many cities in the southeast. The beauty of the park, $32,000.00 in Awards and Honoraria, installation assistance, insurance, and the promotion and exposure opportunities make Sculpture on the Green a premier venue for contemporary outdoor sculpture.
"All sculptures are for sale. Please contact artist directly and mention you saw their work at the village green. 15% of proceeds will go towards future sculpture aquisitions and exhibitions."
