Harry Gordon first started making monumental size wood sculptures while working for the Johnson Atelier foundry as their art installer in the mid 1980s. In 1992 he started working with granite as well and continues to work primarily in these two mediums today and occasionally casts his work in bronze.
Harry has many works in permanent collections at universities, in sculpture parks, in private collections and in public venues throughout the United States. He graduated with a BFA from Syracuse University and an MFA from Rutgers University. For the past 12 years Harry has run his own full-time sculpture installations business which helps individual artists, galleries, sculpture parks, museums and private collectors move and install their work. He also curates sculpture shows and is assistant curator of the sculpture park at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Harry works out of his studio in Lambertville, NJ.
