My love for sculpture began the moment I first held a piece of clay, and my interest soon became a passion that I have followed for over 25 years. I prefer a realistic approach and find inspiration in capturing an emotion or a moment in time. When the clay begins to come to life, I can only feel gratitude for having found this exciting art form.
I first studied at Glassell School of Art, the teaching school for the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, Rice University, and the Loveland School of Art. I have participated in the Loveland Invitational Outdoor Sculpture Show and my work shown in many public places and private collections.. My work represents a realistic style with emphasis on facial expression as well as body language. My goal is to bring to life a moment in time for my clients.
In 1986 I formed By The Garden Bench, for which I designed sculptures that were cast in bonded marble. These sculptures for home and garden were sold in showrooms nationwide.
